what is the source of this quote? and what is the context?

From The Ron Paul Political Report also known as the Ron Paul Survival Report. They are archived here, and I highly recommend you read them if you haven’t.  http://ronpaulnewsletters.blogspot.com/ In 1996, he defended the Newsletter stating that he opposes racism and that his written commentaries about blacks came in the context of  ”current events and statistical reports of the time.” http://www.chron.com/CDA/archives/archive.mpl?id=1996_1343749 Paul also stated that his words were taken out of context and that his opponent was “race baiting.” Then Paul and his campaign defended and took full ownership of the comments: http://reason.com/blog/2008/01/11/old-news-rehashed-for-over-a-d People asked him to share the newsletters and he stated that he didn’t want to “rehash old issues.” In 2008, these comments resurfaced and The New Republic wrote an article about it.http://www.tnr.com/article/politics/angry-white-man?id=e2f15397-a3c7-4720-ac15-4532a7da84ca Ron Paul responded, stating: “I don’t even have copies of them, because it’s ancient history.”  He also claimed that he had a ghostwriter and never wrote the hateful articles. http://reason.com/blog/2008/01/08/exclusive-ron-paul-responds-to

Ron Paul made over 1 million dollars on these newsletters. He said that the editor of a newsletter is responsible for the daily events and publishing, and that he traveled a lot and was too busy, for over 20 years mind you, to monitor these things. Only problem is: He was listed as the editor of the newsletter and the publishing address was the same as his home address. I also have published hand written letters that Ron Paul wrote to his subscribers about the newsletters he wrote. Many people can’t believe he would say the things he wrote, but if you pay attention to his views on civil rights, hate crimes and how he voted on many issues, it makes sense. Not to mention, he also has miles of support from racist hate groups, and leaders and has stated that he will not give back their campaign donations to him because he’s using it for “freedom.” …yeah. Another think that I find alarming is that both he and his son have worked with active KKK, NSM, and American Nazi Party members  members, who only leave their positions once the media made light of their involvement. This information is also in my tumblr archives if you’re interested. Personally, I find all of these things inexcusable and concerning.
And finally, this sums it up pretty well. VIDEO:  http://youtu.be/BStxubabDhA

Now Ron Paul claims he didn’t write that racist newsletter but..
In the past he said that his words were taken out of context.
He was listed as the editor.
The publishing address and his home address were the same. AND
There’s this letter he wrote.
Try again Ronnie…
